Sari held several senior leadership roles during her career at Nokia. She served as EVP and General Manager of Nokia Networks from 1998 to 2005 and was a member of the Group Executive Board from 1994 to 2005. More recently, she served as Chair of the Board of Nokia from 2020 to 2026. Today Sari serves as a board member of the Climate Leadership Coalition (CLC).
