Background

Before DevCo, I had the pleasure of gaining experience from investment banking, management consulting and private equity at globally leading firms in the respective industries. During that time, I enjoyed the fast-paced work environments and the opportunity to build a solid professional toolbox in financial analysis, investments and business development. In addition, it was great to get significant exposure to all phases of private equity investments early on in my career.

Why DevCo?

Already at university, I had a dream and goal to eventually become an entrepreneur. In addition, during the first years of my professional career, I developed a strong interest in hands-on work with growth-oriented companies targeting at lasting step changes in performance. In 2014, Matti, Otto, Lauri and I felt that the time was right to build a new type of investment company – a long-term oriented owner-operator focusing on medium-sized quality companies in Northern Europe. I have truly enjoyed the first years of DevCo, with new experiences ranging from introductory meetings with nearly 300 interesting companies to an operational role as interim CFO of Vexve, as well as daily hands-on work to support Medix in execution of its ambitious growth strategy. With such a unique combination of interesting and meaningful work and fantastic colleagues both at DevCo and DevCo companies, my work at DevCo does not feel like a daily job but a great lifestyle!
